The Magical Lift

 

William had heard whispers of an extraordinary magical lift—an impossible elevator said to grant whoever entered it their deepest desire. He had always dismissed the stories as fantasy. Until, one astonishing evening, he found himself standing before its gleaming doors.

Curiosity overcame him. William stepped inside as a 21-year-old man and pressed the only button: a glowing symbol he didn't recognise.

The doors closed.

A soft chime sounded, followed by a sensation like warm magic rushing through him. The lift seemed to shimmer around him, and for a moment, he felt as though the entire world had fallen silent.

Then the doors opened.

William stepped out—and froze.

His reflection in the polished walls showed a stunning 21-year-old woman staring back at him. His appearance had changed completely, yet somehow she felt unmistakably like William. She wore a small blue dress and elegant high heels, an outfit that made her feel confident, beautiful, and absolutely incredible.

She touched her face in astonishment.

The lift had not simply changed her appearance.

It had granted a desire she had never before dared to admit—even to herself.
